Did you know that most insurance policies cover two checkups a year, along with a set of bitewing xrays at 100%? That means little to no out of pocket expense for you! A checkup includes a thorough cleaning and exam, and at one of these appointments, the hygienist will also take a set of xrays. Not being aware of their dental benefits, many of our patients are letting their dental plan go to waste by not coming in for these visits twice a year. That’s $335 worth of benefits not being taken advantage of!
Once you receive a thorough exam by the dentist, if you need further treatment, it will be presented to you. You will receive a treatment plan when you checkout, and the front office staff will tell you your estimated copay. For treatment such as fillings, bondings, extractions and root canals, most insurance companies will pay 80% towards these services.
